I’m A Celebrity may introduce cow’s urine in new Bushtucker Trial

Even just reading this makes us gag

When you think about I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! one of the first things that probably comes to mind is disgusting eating challenges.

We’ve seen contestants chow down on delicacies such as crocodile penis, kangaroo testicles, ostrich anus and even live spiders.

That Ferne McCann trial still gives us shudders….

Well, according to a new report, things could be getting even worse for the poor jungle celebrities, after I’m A Celeb bosses came up with a fabulous new Bushtucker Trial.

And when we say fabulous, we obviously mean absolutely hideous…

A source told the Daily Star that show bosses have been mulling over adding a few new items to the tasty food challenge menu.

They include shots of cow’s urine, bushpig sperm and pig’s blood.

Just no, no, no. Gag, gag, gag.

Apparently it’s already been tested on the German edition of the show, with one contestant being given a shot glass of cow’s urine but choosing to scream, “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!” rather than drinking it.

An insider said: “If Bear Grylls can get his celebrities to drink their own urine, we can try to get the celebrities to drink cow pee.

“It’s going to be pretty vile but the celebrities should know we always like to come up with new surprises.”

Just every part of that screams gross, gross, gross: the smell, the colour, the taste…

However, it appears this year’s celebrity campers may get a reprieve as ITV have insisted there are no current plans to introduce cow’s urine as a challenge.

What about the sperm and blood, though?!

I’m A Celebrity returns for its 17th series next month but, as always, the contestants’ identities have been kept firmly under wraps.

Of course, rumours have still been flying around with The Saturdays’ Vanessa White, WAG Rebekah Vardy, tennis legend Boris Becker and TOWIE’s Megan McKenna among those said to be jetting off to Australia.

Meanwhile, fans are hoping that Ant & Dec will be hosting the show as per usual, although that’s yet to be confirmed following Ant’s difficult year.

The beloved TV star has been open about his addiction issues and subsequent stint in rehab, and is now in Los Angeles working on his well-being away from the paparazzi.

There’s been no official word from ITV on whether he will be well enough to join Dec in Australia, although a source previously told The Sunday Mirror: “With his commitment and new-found strength, those close to him believe he will be back on TV in November.

“It’s something he is working towards and focusing on.”
