After the sad news that the Granddad of Gogglebox, Leon Bernicoff died on Saturday, fans are reminding themselves of a very poignant moment between him and wife June.
In an episode first shown in March 2015, the couple were watching Gladiator, starring Russell Crowe, and shared an emotional conversation.
When Russell’s character Maximus dies, a scene is shown where he meets his late son and wife in the afterlife.
Leon said to June: “He’s died and he’s joined them. I like to think that’s true, you know.”
June replied: “Yeah, well you do, don’t you? Especially when you get to our age.”
“Oh I think so, I believe it,” Leon said.
Moved by the moment Leon says to June: “I’d join you, you see. Always, June.”
Fans around the country have shared their emotions after seeing the clip following the 83 year old’s death.
It was posted to Twitter by viewer Rob Simm.

The couple’s incredible love story has spanned over 60 years and produced children and grandchildren.
June Edwards was 18 when she met Leon Bernicoff at a teacher-training college dance.
The couple told the Sunday People last year it was love at first sight.
“I thought she was gorgeous. And I still do,” smiled Leon.
“You should have seen her at 18. Wow. The prom queen.”
June revealed, “He walked me home and kissed me, and that was that. We were inseparable.”
Proving that true love is forever, Leon also said, “It’s lovely. I don’t want anybody else, only June.”
We are going to miss you in our lives, Leon.
