Lauren played Lily McQueen in Hollyoaks from 2017 till 2019.

Lily arrived in the village shortly after the death of her mum Babs and went to stay with her aunt Diane and Tony.

During her time in the village, she met and fell in love with Prince McQueen who she went on to marry.

However, not long into their marriage, Lily began an affair with Prince’s friend Romeo Quinn.

In April 2019, Lily was checked into a mental health hospital due to her self-harming and the fact she was having a breakdown.

While in hospital she felt unwell and the consultants ran some tests, however before she got the results, Romeo visited her and told her he wanted to go on the run as he was wanted for Mac Nightingale’s murder (who was actually killed by Prince’s grandmother Breda).

Lily decided to go on the run with Romeo, however she had actually contracted sepsis from her self-harming wounds.

At the train station, she decided to stay in Hollyoaks after all.

As Romeo went to the platform, she went to the toilet. When Diane got to the station, Romeo told her she went to the toilet and when they got there they heard a woman say a girl had collapsed in the toilets.

Lily ended up passing away from the infection and Lauren left the soap.

Hollyoaks is on Monday to Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with a first look episode every night on E4.
