Emmerdale star ruins the suspense over who killed Emma Barton

Have they admitted they're the killer?

It’s the storyline that has kept Emmerdale viewers on the edge of their seats and soon the person who killed Emma Barton will be revealed.

The mother came a cropper weeks ago when she fell from the top of a viaduct and there have been a number of names in the frame suspected of pushing her over the edge.

Today’s Lorraine went behind the scenes on the soap to try to find out who the killer could be.

And while most of the cast went along with building up the suspense over the whodunnit, another was happy to spoil the fun.

Michael Parr, who plays Ross Barton, tried to keep the mystery alive saying: “I have filmed a few scenes where it looks like I could be the killer, so has Anthony Quinlan (who plays Emma’s son Pete) and Adam (Thomas) has done the same.

“There has been a lot of red herrings so no-one really knows.”

But his co-star Adam Thomas standing beside him then ruined the moment by chiming in: “We do really!”

He laughed saying: “It wasn’t me! Wink, wink, nudge, nudge!”

Happy-go-lucky Adam said he has enjoyed teasing some of his fellow co-stars who have been kept in the dark over who the murderer really is.

“We are all going up to each other but no-one is giving anything away which is quite irritating but fun,” he said.

Adam admitted he hopes his character isn’t a killer, even though he will soon be leaving the part of Adam Barton behind.

He said: “I am leaving so everyone keeps saying I am the murderer which I am not happy about as I want to come back!”

Adam’s next move isn’t known yet, could he join brother Ryan on Neighbours?

Emmerdale will this evening broadcast a bonfire night special where the characters will gather to enjoy a fireworks display with the killer in their midst.
