Emmerdale serial killer Meena Jutla was finally taken into police custody in last night’s episode (Thursday, February 17). But what’s next for her?
Is she going to go down for her crimes? Will she escape justice again? Just how is Meena’s story finally going to end?
Fans certainly have some theories – and so do we!
Here are the top five predictions on what could happen next for Meena.
1. Emmerdale: Meena will escape the police and return for the 50th anniversary
Meena is finally in police custody, but will she stay there?
Some fans are predicting that Meena will escape and return later in the year. Perhaps she’ll be back for the show’s 50th anniversary in October? Or even Christmas?

2. Emmerdale: Meena will go to prison

When Liv was released from prison, it was revealed Meena’s gloves had been found with Ben’s blood on.
They link Meena to his murder – but will this be enough to send her to prison?

3. She will pin her crimes on someone else
We know she was more than happy to let Liv take the blame for Ben’s murder. However, could she go as far as to try and blame someone else for her crimes?
Some fans have predicted she’ll frame Liam, especially as Meena buried her bits box with evidence from her crimes in his allotment.

4. Her bits box will be found
Meena buried her bits box at Liam’s allotment. The box contains ‘trophies’ from the crimes she’s committed and could therefore be vital in sending her down.
The killer always takes something from her victims.
She kept a newspaper clipping from Nadine’s murder. She also stole Leanna’s ring, Andrea’s bracelet and Ben’s bracelet from boyfriend Aaron.
All of this is in her box. Could the police find it soon and finally connect her to all the murders? Fans think so.

5. Meena will be murdered
Now villagers know about Meena’s crimes, many people are hurt and angry.
Meena already pushed Liam too far, causing him to push her off the humpback bridge. Could he track her down to finish the job? We certainly know he’s capable of it…
However, it’s fair to say that there are plenty of other people in the village who would love to take their revenge on her.
Could Meena be murdered herself? And who would deal the final blow? The list of possible suspects would be very, very long!
