Trouble is looming for Denise Fox next week when she loses her job – but that’s not the only drama she’s got coming her way.
With her romance with Kush Kazemi more than a little strained at the start of this year, Denise happily went away on holiday without her other half recently.
But while the old saying might claim that ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ – will that ring true for the couple? Or has their time apart revealed their romance is over?

Next week gets off to a bizarre start for Denise when she returns from her much-needed break, only to keep the fact she is back a secret from Kush.
The market stall holder is stunned when he sees Denise in the Square after her mini break, but why didn’t she come and find him the moment she returned?
With her relationship with Kush more strained than ever, poor Denise has even more pressing business to worry about the following day when she discovers she is out of a job.
Sitting Patrick down, Denise confesses she’s been sacked… meaning she’s now back searching for a job, just months after struggling to make ends meet after quitting her job at the Minute Mart.
Patrick tries his best to cheer her up, but with everything looking so gloomy, he’s got a big job on his hands.
Will Kush be there to pick up the pieces?
EastEnders fans will remember that on New Year’s Eve the pair were seen complaining about each other – with Denise offloading to Linda behind the bar, and Kush airing his dirty laundry with Mick.

They were both complaining that things had got a bit stale in their romance, with Denise moaning that Kush would rather grill a chicken and go to the gym than have a conversation with her.
But Kush revealed that he was bored of listening to Denise talk about the lives of people he didn’t know all the time, and even confessed he pretended to be asleep when she spoke!
With their relationship hitting the rocks, is this the end of the line for the pair?
