Axed EastEnders star Katie Jarvis is now working as a security guard.
The actress played Hayley Slater in the soap until she was quietly written out in February in a shock storyline that saw her give Kat her baby.
Despite fan speculation, Katie's exit wasn't officially confirmed until months later.
Katie, who found fame in BAFTA winning film Fish Tank, was the major star of the soap's last Christmas storyline when she pushed baby daddy Alfie Moon down the stairs.
I've taken a step back from acting.
But just months after that she is now working in a normal job to support herself and her children and has quit acting.
The actress is working as a security guard at B&M Bargains in East London.
She told the Daily Star Sunday: "I've taken a step back from acting. I've got a job and I'm looking after my kids."
Earlier this year Katie had fans worried for her welfare after she claimed she was glassed on a night out.
Katie claimed she needed hospital treatment after she was attacked on a Friday night in London.
She took to Twitter to say a man had attacked her, tweeting the Metropolitan Police: "Big thank you to the Met police tonight and ambulance service for looking after me after I was glassed by a drunken Irish man for [expletive] all."
She later deleted the tweets.
However, Katie later reassured fans she is doing well, saying she's "a soldier and been through hell of a lot worse".
She wrote on Twitter: "OK to put people's minds, and questions to rest. I am absolutely fine thank you so much for all your concern and checking in on me but I'm a soldier and been through hell of a lot worse.
"Now you can start focusing your concerns on some real news. Love you all."
