There’s trouble ahead for Linda in next week’s EastEnders as her drinking spirals out of control, leading to her being arrested.
The last few months have been tough for the Carter family, with Ollie’s autism diagnosis taking its toll on both Mick and Linda.
But while Mick is fighting his anxiety, Linda has secretly been hitting the bottle to cope with the stress of family life.

However, next week sees Linda’s drinking reach an all time low when she is arrested for drink driving at the school gates.
The drama starts when she drives Ollie to school, despite the fact she is feeling hungover.
With Mick heading to the doctors for an appointment, Linda thinks she has no choice but to drive her son to school… but it turns out to be a decision she’ll live to regret when she accidentally backs into another car.
Convinced that no one has seen, Linda drives away, but little does she know someone has been watching her.
Later, Linda comes out of the school with Chantelle after dropping Ollie off, only to find some of the other mums from the school waiting with a police officer.
Linda fights to defend herself, but when the police ask her to take a breathalyser test she is left humiliated when she fails and is quickly arrested in front of everyone.
Back at The Vic, Mick is oblivious to the drama that Linda has found herself caught up in and, with his focus on the pub wife swap, he doesn’t notice that she is late home from the school run.

As the wife swap gets under way, Linda moves in with Max, while Ruby makes herself at home at The Vic.
But Mick is in for a shock when he has a chat with Max and he discovers Linda’s drinking is getting out of control.
But how long will it be before Linda admits she has been arrested?
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
