Enough is enough for Ruby Allen next week and she decides to get revenge on her rapists, Ross and Matt. But will it work?
After being sexually abused by both Ross and Matt after a night out last year, Ruby has understandably struggled to get her life back on track and more forwards.
In fact the abuse has taken such a toll on her life that her romance with Jay Brown is also in tatters after just a few dates… leaving the pair upset that they couldn’t make things work.
Next week sees Ruby try and build bridges with Jay in the hope they can move forward as a couple, but when she is rejected by the undertaker once again, she decides to focus her efforts elsewhere… getting revenge on her rapists.
Struggling to cope after a meeting with her Sexual Violence Advisor, Ruby hits the bottle in The Vic and it’s up to Stacey to rescue her friend in her moment of need.
After Stacey takes Ruby home, she is assured by her friend that she is totally fine. But once Stacey has gone, Ruby sets about putting her plan to get revenge on Ross and Matt into action.
Deciding to lure Ross back to Walford to prove the type of man that he is, Ruby sets the wheels of revenge in motion, and the next day Ross and Matt arrive on the Square.
But when Ross lets himself in to Ruby’s house, he is stunned to come face-to-face with her. And when she tells him that she has got him there to make him an offer, he is left confused.
But while Ross is all ears, eagerly waiting to see what Ruby has to say, Matt has bottled on his meeting with her and starts to slope off home.
But when Martin catches him in Walford, he soon has some explaining to do.
As Matt and Martin sit down for a drink at The Vic, Matt opens up to his old school friend about what has been going on with Ruby… but is Martin prepared for what he is about to hear?
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
