Coronation Street star Alex Bain has reportedly split from his girlfriend just five months after become a father for the first time.
Alex and his high school girlfriend, Levi Selby – who are both just 17 – welcomed their daughter Lydia-Rose in December of last year.

But now The Sun reports that family life has not ended well for the young couple, who have now ended the relationship.
The pair started dating in April of last year, and while they were rumoured to have split in July, Alex insisted they were still together and that they were preparing to have their own child.
But according to The Sun, the relationship is over and Levi is now seeing someone else.
“They were over the moon at the birth of their baby girl and were really happy together,” a source told the publication.
The source claimed that the couple had been through a lot even though they are so young, but were ultimately unable to make things work.
“It’s a shame they couldn’t make the relationship work but they’ve gone their separate ways.
“They’re both now just trying to move on but they absolutely adore their daughter.”
Alex joined Coronation Street back in 2008, playing the role of Simon Barlow.

He won a British Soap Award for his performance in 2011, and has been nominated a total of five times.
He’s also taken home an Inside Soap Award.
