Coronation Street’s Shona risks danger meeting son Clayton outside prison

She's on a mission to see her troublesome son

Coronation Street’s Shona Ramsey puts herself in serious danger next week when she plans to come face-to-face with her dangerous son, Clayton Hibbs, outside of the safety of prison walls.

Soap fans will know that Clayton is serving time for killing David’s wife Kylie Platt in cold blood back in 2016, but he recently came back into Shona’s life when she went to see him in jail to tell him his dad, Dane, had died from an overdose.

After Shona was recently filmed while she was sleeping by some of Clayton’s dodgy acquaintances, she has found herself sleeping with one eye open after refusing her son’s request that she smuggles drugs into prison for him.

But while her refusal to get involved with the drugs scam left Clayton in hospital after he got beaten up by the prison bullies, next week sees her desperate to make amends with her son.

After hearing how upset Shona is, Billy asks Paul if he might have any contacts in prison who could keep their ear to the ground and see what the latest is with Clayton.

Shona is desperate to see how Clayton is doing after his attack and reveals she was already planning to go to Dane’s funeral in the hope of seeing her boy.

But without the usual prison security to keep her safe, is this really a good idea?

David isn’t sure about Shona coming face-to-face with Clayton, but is supportive when she tells him this is something she has to do.

But with the day of the funeral fast approaching, could this be a decision that she will live to regret?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
