Love Island’s Yewande hits out at Danny as she reveals he ‘broke her heart’

She left the show on Monday

| Updated:

After her unceremonious dumping from the Love Island villa on Monday night, scientist Yewande has opened up about the shock recoupling ceremony which saw Danny ditch her for new girl Arabella.

Yewande was starting to forge a romantic connection with model Danny when blonde beauty Arabella sauntered into the Majorcan villa and turned his head.

Now, following her eviction from the villa, Yewande has admitted that Danny’s decision has left her heartbroken.

Opening up to the Daily Mail, she said: “‘Danny broke my heart. It was hard for me to open up to him in there, and I fully trusted him. And he has just thrown that in my face.”

Yewande also admitted that the ITV2 show was going to be hard to watch from now on, as Danny’s relationship with model Arabella develops.

The pair shared their first kiss just two hours after Yewande left the villa, with Amber and Amy commenting that Yewande’s bed “wasn’t even cold yet”.

Yewande said: “Being in the villa and seeing them get on was upsetting. I just can’t handle it. It’s going to be hard. It’s like watching your ex. It’s all just really upsetting. It’s just really going to be hard to watch.”

Of her love rival, Yewande also admitted that she was “hurt” but that she was sure Arabella was a “lovely” girl.

She also threw her support behind her “better half” Amber and said she was thrilled that her fellow islander had her back.

Fresh from last night’s show, which saw viewers label Anna and Amber bullies over their treatment of Danny and Arabella, Yewande opened up about her friendship with Amber.

She said: “Amber is my better half. She is fiery. She’s not going to make it easy for them at all. Knowing she has my back is really nice. She is just a good friend.”

Yewande had struggled to open up during the show and was gradually letting her guard down with Danny, ahead of Arabella’s entry into the villa.

However, some viewers have said that Yewande got what she deserved after treating Danny badly and giving him “nothing for 12 days”.

Others defended her, and slammed Danny’s behaviour towards her.
