Love Island’s Maura Higgins ‘to earn millions within months of leaving villa’

Maura's emerged as a "feminist hero"

For Love Island star Maura Higgins, her time in the villa could prove hugely lucrative.

The Irish beauty, 28, is likely to earn millions within her first few months of leaving the show, according to reports.

An expert in celeb money matters is certain the “feminist heroine” will have “a lot of TV work” thrown her way once this year’s series is over, as the “standout characters” are the ones with the highest earning potential.

Showbiz agent Dermot McNamara, who also thinks Maura’s fellow islanders Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard could rack up the big bucks, explained in a chat with Daily Star Sunday: “It’s the standout characters who have the biggest earning potential. Maura has emerged a bit of a feminist heroine so it’s likely she’ll be offered a lot of TV work.

“Tommy will do very well. He can make the most of his boxing background while also doing more reality TV. And he can do some projects with Molly-Mae for as long as they’re a couple.

“Curtis already has a fanbase in Ireland, which he can build on. And everyone adores Ovie, so he’ll do well too.”

Speaking further, Dermot said that even less popular islanders “like Anton” can expect to do “quite well” – as long as they make “the right choices”.

He went on to tell the newspaper that the contestants who already have managers will likely emerge from the villa to find “plenty of work” has been arranged for them, but others without representation might find themselves “playing catch-up”.

Dermot’s comments come as Love Island fans prepare to bid farewell to series five.

The programme returns to ITY2 tonight (July 28) at 9pm for a penultimate episode, during which one couple is expected to be dumped from the villa.

On Friday night (July 26), three couples found themselves at risk after the islanders had to secretly vote for the least compatible couple.

Anton Danyluk and Belle Hassan were in the bottom three with one vote against them, joining couples Ovie Soko and India Reynolds and Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard, who all received two votes.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury and Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea received no votes, exempting them from the public vote.

Some viewers were fuming over the fact that Anton and Belle were at risk despite getting only one vote – and claimed the decision proved the show was “fixed”.
