Countdown’s Rachel Riley is one of British TV’s most-loved personalities thanks to her appearances on the teatime quiz, Strictly Come Dancing and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
But despite having legions of fans, numbers expert Rachel is plagued by attacks on social media.
For many months the 33-year-old has come under fire from some parts of Twitter after speaking out about allegations of antisemitism in the Labour Party.
And as a female in the public eye Rachel almost automatically comes in for constant and unrelenting amounts of scrutiny from fans about every aspect of her life.

However, while many of Rachel’s fanbase were quick to leave positive comments about her outfit on a recent post on Instagram, just a fraction of the abuse she endures was evident from several vile trolls.
Dozens of followers marvelled at the star’s elegance and beauty as she shared an image of herself in a figure-hugging halterneck midi dress earlier this week.
But among the huge amount of complimentary remarks, there were a few comments that suggested Rachel was looking ‘thinner’.
“Lovely Rachel but getting thin,” said one bold fan.

“Looking very thin these days,” chimed in another.
“You look like you need to eat a little more,” a third rudely remarked.
A fourth thoughtless observer callously blamed a change in Rachel’s lifestyle for a perceived change in her appearance.
It is believed Rachel switched to a vegan diet last year with her long-term health in mind.
“You looked better before you went vegan. All respect but you looked absolutely stunning before you did,” the inconsiderate commenter concluded.
