Taking to Twitter, dad-of-one Steve shared an emotional tribute to wife, Olympic rower Helen Glover.

Showing images of him holding Helen, 33, aloft during their wedding day, then images from the present day showing he and his family – including super-cute son, Logan – revisiting the spot in Cornwall, Stave started his message: “Three years ago Hels and I got married on a Cornish clifftop.

“To paddle back past our happy place as parents, looking up at the rocks from spangly blue seas… the most perfect special days ever.”

Steve’s sweet tribute is all the more poignant after he and Olympic gold medalist Helen revealed that last year they had tragically lost one of their twins.

The couple had announced they were expecting twins in March of last year.

Helen and Steve confirmed on social media the tragedy.

The Team GB rower wrote on Twitter: “Thanks for all your lovely messages. We’ve had the hard news that one baby hasn’t made it but we are very excited and hopeful for the remaining baby to arrive this summer xx”
