EastEnders Jake Wood renews wedding vows in fairytale festival-themed ceremony

This sounds like an AMAZING ceremony!

EastEnders’ Jake Wood has renewed his vows with wife Alison in a romantic ceremony two decades after they first began dating.

The actor, best known as Walford’s Max Branning, was also supported by a string of Strictly Come Dancing colleagues as he walked down the aisle with Alison for a second time.

Jake and Alison first got together 23 years ago and married 16 years ago.

They chose to renew their vows at a family-friendly, festival-themed ceremony in Hertfordshire, which Jake described as their “own private mini Glastonbury”.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Jake gushed: “Alison means the world to me. I feel incredibly lucky to have been with such an amazing woman for so long and I’m looking forward to the next 23 years.”

“Alison looked amazing,” he added.

“She’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever known. I’m a very lucky man.”

The happy couple were joined by EastEnders stars Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell), Scott Maslen (Jack Branning), Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning), Lorna Fitzgerald (Abi Branning) and Jo Joyner (Tanya Branning).

Representing Strictly, meanwhile, were Jake’s former co-stars Frankie Bridge, Alison Hammond, Thom Evans, Judy Murray, Bobby Davro and Steve Backshall.

So, all in all, a pretty star-studded wedding!

Keeping with the festival theme, guests were able to visit food trucks, get glitter make-up done, dance up a storm thanks to a band and DJ, and sleep it all off in luxury tents before a barbecue breakfast in the morning.

“We had a vision in our minds of what we wanted and we found the absolutely perfect spot,” said Jake. “A beautiful field, very secluded and just idyllic.

“Having everyone we love in one space was incredible. We felt really blessed and loved by everyone there.”

Jake and Alison’s two children, Amber, 12, and Buster, nine, gave speeches, as their parents wanted them involved in the big day.

In August, Jake celebrated 16 years of marriage by sharing a cute photo to Twitter showing him and Alison on holiday.

He captioned it: “16 years married to this beauty today. I’m a very lucky man.”

Fans were quick to send a slew of well-wishes to the duo, sharing their own stories of wedding bliss along the way.

Aww!
