We’ve all been desperately worried about Carla Connor’s future on Coronation Street since she returned at Christmas and revealed to Roy Cropper that she has kidney failure.
The former factory boss is left fighting for her life in next week as she collapses and is rushed to hospital – again.

This time she’s in the Rovers when she falls to the floor and her ex, Peter Barlow, assumes she’s had a few too many Sauv Blancs.
Nice one, Peter.
Little does he realise she’s actually seriously ill, until Roy Cropper reveals the truth – much to the shock of Johnny.
Early in the week, Carla decides to enjoy herself while she can and gets drunk on one glass of wine at the Bistro.
She then beds Daniel Osbourne again, before Ken catches them and they head to the pub where she collapses.
Later, the Connor clan all rally round Carla’s bedside where Johnny is upset about being kept in the dark about illness.
He’s grateful when he discovers that Kate and Aidan are both matches and Aidan volunteers to be a donor for his big sis.
Tbh, it’s the least he could do after she gave him the money to save Underworld.
Aidan is a bit stunned later in the week when it’s revealed that Carla needs to have the operation as soon as possible and he starts the test to begin for the kidney donation.
Both Peter and Daniel arrive to visit Carla in hospital and end up competing for her attention.
Soon Aidan arrives with some good news – he’s had all the tests and is ready to donate his kidney.

Johnny and Jenny are overjoyed, while Aidan tries to hide his nerves about his impending op.
