Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden were mocked over their youthful looks by their Britain’s Got Talent co-stars.

The pair were poked fun at by David Walliams and hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly in a new interview released by ITV ahead of the new Champions series, which starts on Saturday.

When asked about seeing videos of Simon from series one of the competition series, David joked: “Well Simon looks younger now, which is curious. I don’t know how he managed that.”

Amanda, 48, said: “Doesn’t he look amazing? He looks about 15 years younger. He’s just really embracing and enjoying life, and I’m really thrilled for him. It’s just incredible to see.”

But Dec replied: “You can tell the ageing process throughout watching the show! That’s the problem we’ve got, it’s not just watching the last ten years of Britain’s Got Talent clips, it’s all the stuff before that. It’s amazing as well because Connie Talbot’s 12 years older and we would look 12 years older, yet Amanda looks 12 years younger.”

Meanwhile, Simon has spoken about his co-stars individually.

Speaking about hosting duo Ant and Dec, Simon said he loves having them on the show and said they are “like my younger brothers”.

Simon also praised his fellow panellists Amanda and Alesha Dixon, admitting actress Amanda has been “the most loyal, easy to work with person” since she first started on the show in 2007.

He said Amanda is an “easy” person to work with and there’s never “no drama, no demands, no this, she just turns up and is a great ambassador for the show”.

Simon went on to talk about pregnant Alesha, saying she could “have been putting her feet up but came to work instead”.

Going on to discuss David, Simon joked that he loves being the “centre of attention” of the show – even when he presses his golden buzzer.
