Scarlett Moffatt bravely shares photo she previously avoided because of cruel comments

Telly fave tells fans 'life's too short' to worry about haters

TV personality Scarlett Moffatt has told fans that life’s too short to worry about body shamers after facing up to the impact that trolls had on her mental health.

The Gogglebox and I’m A Celebrity star shared an image – which you can see here – from an appearance on ITV2 on her Instagram account that was previously slammed online by some vile commenters who called Scarlett “fat”.

The attacks on 29-year-old Scarlett proved so distressing the popular presenter was left in tears over her appearance and reluctant to leave her home.

However, she has defiantly told her 2million Insta followers she will no longer pay attention to haters – and urged everyone to be comfortable with their bodies.

Captioning the pic, Scarlett said: “I used to avoid this photo, it would upset me because even thinking about this moment where I got trolled for the way I looked reminded me of the state of depression it sent me in to the point where I didn’t even want to leave the house!

“But I don’t think that looking at this photo now! NOW I see a young girl living her best life appearing on a show she loves, showing off her best assets and her curves.”

She continued: “The truth is we have to be happy within ourselves, our brain is the most important thing we have to look after!

“Our bodies are beautiful no matter what anybody tries to tell us or persuade us to think.

“Throw your middle finger up to anyone who tells you you’re too thin, too fat, your stretch marks are ugly, your body isn’t the right shape, your boobs are too small, too big, your bum’s too flat or too fat or you’re too fake!

“Don’t listen to them. LOVE YOURSELF BECAUSE LIFE IS TOO SHORT.”

Within hours, Scarlett’s passionate plea had attracted over a hundred thousand Likes and comments from supporters – with many celebrity pals giving their backing to her urging people to be kind to themselves.

“❤,” Amanda Holden stated, simply.

“Don’t listen to any trolls. Who cares what trolls say? They’re trolls! Nobody wants to hang with trolls. They’re rubbish!”
