Royal fans convinced something missing from baby Archie’s birth certificate

Harry's official title is a surprise to some

Little Archie Mountbatten-Windsor’s birth certificate was published on Friday, causing a ripple of excitement among fans of the Royal Family.

However, no sooner had the document been released than a number of eagle-eyed observers on social media claimed there was something missing from the formal details.

Archie’s dad Harry was NOT listed in the same way that his brother William, or his dad Charles, had been on their kids’ birth certificates…

While William and Charles were both titled ‘Prince’, Harry wasn’t – he was listed as ‘His Royal Highness Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex’.

Sure, his specified OCCUPATION was ‘Prince of the United Kingdom’, but the lack of the word Prince in his official title set tongues wagging on social media.

One follower thought it may have been a mistake, tweeting: “It looks like there may be an error on Archie’s birth certificate. I notice they left off the ‘Prince’ in Harry’s name.”

A second added: “You’d think that’d be something they double-checked on.”

And a third chipped in: “Why is it inconsistency after inconsistency with this pregnancy/birth? Nothing is correct and transparent.”

However, it was clearly not a mistake as many fans pointed out Harry signed the certificate meaning he probably checked the details.

As for Archie’s mum, Meghan was listed on the certificate as ‘Rachel Meghan Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex’. Rachel is her birth name.

Meghan’s occupation was described as ‘Princess of the United Kingdom’ – the same name given to Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, on her children’s birth certificates.

The certificate also confirmed that Meghan gave birth to Archie – who’s seventh in line to the throne – at London’s private Portland Hospital.

Meanwhile, Prince Philip was seen ‘sharing a joke’ with the new dad during a rare appearance today.

The Sun reported that the Duke of Edinburgh, 97, and Harry were attending the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

It was only the second time Philip had been seen in public since his car crash in Norfolk in January.

He also appeared at the public reveal of baby Archie last week.
