Peter Andre declares he wants kids’ homework banned

He revealed what he'd do as Prime Minister

Singer Peter Andre has revealed what he would put into action if he was running the country, and one of the first things he would do is ban children’s homework.

The dad-of-four argued why he would like his kids to only have to do work in school hours.

He said he feels youngsters have enough to worry about in school without the added pressure of homework.

Pete spoke on what he would “tackle” in the country in his New! magazine column, including the strain on the NHS and knife crime.

He went on to say: “A couple of random issues I’d also tackle is banishing homework, as kids have enough to deal with at school and I feel they’d concentrate more if they knew they didn’t have to work at home.”

Pete’s five-year-old daughter Amelia, who he has with wife Emily Andre, has recently started school.

He also has two-year-old son Theo with Emily, as well as Junior, 14, and 11-year-old Princess with his ex-wife Katie Price.

However, the 46-year-old has been vocal about setting rules for his children in other ways.

In 2017, he revealed he had stopped Junior and Princess from using social media out of fear they would experience online bullies.

The star told The Mirror: “I worry about cyber bullying – all these things kids are going through, worrying about what they look like, worrying about what someone is saying about them.”

Pete explained that he brought in the social media ban because he was bullied badly as a child.
