Michelle Keegan’s ex ‘approached for Celebrity Big Brother’

Telly bosses are keen to get guests who will create a stir

| Updated:

Michelle Keegan’s ex fiancé Max George was reportedly offered a big money deal to appear on this summer’s series of Celebrity Big Brother.

And while some fans were hoping that the former The Wanted star would be spilling the beans on his love life, Max is said to have turned down the £150,000 fee.

“Max isn’t interested in doing any reality TV,”  a source told The Sun Online.

“He’s been inundated with offers but wants to avoid having to open up about his love life.”

The singer was seen on Bear Grylls: Mission Survive in 2015, however, where he was the first to be eliminated from the show.

“He’s told pals he will leave any reality telly work to his ex-bandmates Tom Parker and Jay McGuinness,” added the source. Jay won Strictly Come Dancing in 2015.

CBB bosses are pulling out all the stops to make this year’s series one to remember – and there are rumours that they’ve offered Caitlyn Jenner £1million to take part.

“They know she’d be TV gold so they’re prepared to break the bank for her,” a source was quoted as saying.

“The world has been fascinated by Caitlyn’s story and getting her would push ratings through the roof.”

Caitlyn reportedly met the CBB team on a recent trip to the UK to promote her new book.

Other names linked to the new series include Real Housewives of Cheshire star Ester Dee, TOWIE star Bobby Norris and The Cheeky Girls.

Celebrity Big Brother will go head to head with Love Island this year when both series launch on 5 June.
