A friend of Meghan Markle was reportedly ordered to take down images the Royal family thought were “damaging”.
The Duchess’s Hollywood pal, 42-year-old Jennifer Meyer, is said to have been told to remove the pics from her Instagram account and warned “in no uncertain terms” of the effect they could have had.
Jennifer, who has a jewellery business, is reported to have posted the pics after providing Meghan with a number of pieces to wear.
But Buckingham Palace was unhappy with the snaps being used and claimed they could be “damaging” for both “Meghan and the Royal family”.
Jennifer Meyer has been told to remove the images and in no uncertain terms how damaging this could be.
A source quoted by the Mirror said: “Jennifer Meyer has been told to remove the images and in no uncertain terms how damaging this could be for Meghan and the Royal family.”
And according to the publication, the designer had said she “can’t get enough” of having the Duchess of Sussex wear her jewellery.
Meghan, 38, is understood to have worn Jennifer’s jewellery to various royal events this year, including when she and her husband, Prince Harry, stepped out to reveal baby Archie to the world.
She is also believed to have worn the jewellery when she met Archbishop Desmond Tutu during her tour of Africa.
The Mirror reported that a dozen photos of Meghan were taken down from Jennifer’s Instagram account.
The newspaper published one mipic posted on the account, which showed the Duchess smiling as she brushed her hair behind her ears and displayed a stud earring.
The caption read: “Stunning Duchess of Sussex wearing JM turquoise inlay bar studs today at the US Open.”
Meghan isn’t Jennifer’s only famous customer, as a number of well-known faces feature on her Instagram account wearing her jewellery.
Among them are US actress Scarlett Johansson, Friends fave Jennifer Aniston, Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon and model Chrissy Teigen.
