She's been honest about her feelings

Amid the drama following her break-up from Wes Nelson, Megan Barton Hanson has posted about feeling ‘anxious’.

The Love Island star announced her separation from 20-year-old Wes over the weekend, but she still turned up to support him at Dancing On Ice. However, some questioned her motives for attending.

It comes after Megan hit back at haters who said she looked sour-faced when she first went to watch Wes skate on DOI.

After her visit to this weekend’s show, she shared a snap of herself in the audience with the caption: “Sometimes I smile.”

Megan announced that she was separating from Wes in a statement on Instagram two day ago.

In her message, she admitted that living their romance in the spotlight had put pressure on them.

It began: “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate.

“We have been working hard for well under a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”

Megan opened up about the anxiety and depression she was battling before she got the gig on Love Island last summer.

Last September she confessed on Instagram: “This time last year I was in really a bad space. My anxiety was at an all time high and looking back now I can see I was actually depressed…”

She added: “If you’re feeling [BLEEP] today just know that everything can change. Just because you aren’t where you want to be it doesn’t mean you aren’t going to get there…”
