Mark Wright has hit back at claims he discovered his ancestor was a murderer.
It was reported that the former TOWIE star was set to look into his family tree on the new series of Who Do You Think You Are?, and the BBC genealogy show was set to make a shocking discovery.
While his wife Michelle Keegan found out that she had a direct link to suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst during an appearance on the show, it was reported that Mark didn't get so lucky.
Sources claimed the show's experts had found out that a murderer was, in fact, one of handsome Mark's ancestors.

"After the amazing discoveries that Michelle had during her appearance on the show, Mark was hoping for similar results," a source told The Sun.
It was the fact that he had a villainous relative who had committed murder that shocked him. It's quite an upsetting discovery to uncover.
"They followed his family history all the way back and traced his roots to Eastern Europe and the travelling community," they added.
However, in something of a blow for the popular TV star, the source revealed: "But it was the fact that he had a villainous relative who had committed murder that shocked him. It's quite an upsetting discovery to uncover."
However, Mark took to Twitter to hit back, writing: "Wow, really ? This is news to me. Never heard this in my life."

Titanic actress Kate Winslet is also set to appear on the new series, and she doesn't fare an awful lot better.
It's reported that Kate finds out that her maternal grandfather made the then-scandalous decision to divorce his wife and remarry a younger woman.
The show recently scooped a TV BAFTA, beating the Great British Bake Off to collect the Features Award.
Mark has recently returned from a successful two-year stint in the States, where he presented entertainment show Extra.
He said it felt like "the right time" to head home and spend more time with his wife.
The jetsetting pair are currently out in South Africa, with Michelle filming the new series of BBC drama Our Girl in Cape Town.
