When you’re as well known as Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall, you’d think that nobody would phase her.
But over the weekend, the poor lass ended up “hyperventilating” when she came face to face with one of her biggest idols.
No, not Madonna!
Not Kylie.
Not even Rihanna!
Oh no, this idol is more glamorous than all of them put together.
It’s RuPaul, the world famous drag queen.

Remember her? She had a massive hit in the 90s with Supermodel Of the World and is now the host of the world famous RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Jade is such a massive fan of the legendary drag star and her show that she gushed to Attitude that she actually wanted to be RuPaul.
“I am obsessed with RuPaul’s Drag Race and have watched it all on Netflix,” she said.
“I love gay culture. I’ll be at Heaven every Saturday or I’ll go and see Porn Idol at G-A-Y! I can’t get enough of it. I want to be RuPaul.”
So while she and the girls were touring the US, she ended up at the annual DragCon to meet and greet the stars and hosts of Drag Race – a surprise trip organised by her boyfriend Jed Elliott from The Struts.
Although she enjoyed meeting many of the queens from the show, it was when she came face to her inspiration RuPaul – and she couldn’t contain her excitement.
“Here I am pretending to act cool whilst hyperventilating inside,” she wrote beside a picture of the pair of them. “Along with Diana Ross, @rupaulofficial has inspired me as an artist and performer, whilst giving me the confidence in myself I never knew I had.”
Alongside another picture, she gushed: “pouring my heart out to Mama Ru this photo was taken by my boyfriend who had organised a surprise day out for me which we ended up missing because we spent too long at @rupaulsdragcon I flew to LA for two nights to spend rare quality time together and he didn’t moan once about me dragging (lol) him around for hours while making him take pictures of me fangirling all day. We all need a @jedstruts in our lives”.

Also at the event she met former Celebrity Big Brother star Michelle Visage, who is a judge on Drag Race.
“I bloody love this woman,” she squealed.
“Strong, kind, ambitious and beautiful inside and out. I also didn’t realise how much I needed her book ‘The Diva Rules’ in my life until I read it. @michellevisage thank you for inspiring me”
