Katie Price went on Loose Women today to talk about her toughest year yet and she confessed that she turned to drugs to help her numb the pain of what she was going through.
The 40-year-old mum-of-five explained that dealing with the split from her cheating husband Kieran Hayler, her mum Amy’s terminal illness and potential bankruptcy left her unable to cope last year.
Sitting on the panel with Loose Women Andrea McLean, Nadia Sawalha, Stacey Solomon and Gloria Hunniford, Katie explained: “My family and friends were hurt, didn’t know what to do. All these years in the industry I never have but I purely did it to self medicate, I went to the doctors and told them the truth…”
When Stacey then asked what she was self-medicating with, Kate replied: “Self medicating on drugs really, it was disgusting, but it was my way of dealing with it. At least I can hold my hands up, if I didn’t speak out now, I would still be in a rut.”

In September last year, a video surfaced of Katie drunkenly rapping about loving “coke” while she was on holiday with friends in Majorca.
In her Loose Women interview, Katie explained that she didn’t go to rehab for drug or alcohol related issues.
She says she spent time at London facility The Priory last year for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) after the ongoing traumas in her life.
The former glamour model also said she feels her ex husband Peter Andre was “right” for taking their children Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, to stay with him while she was at her lowest point.

Today, Katie said everything is back to “normal” with her five children.
She also has Jett, five, and Bunny, four, with Kieran and 16-year-old Harvey from her relationship with Dwight Yorke.
