Katie Piper has shared a bikini photo with fans alongside an “inspiring” message about body confidence.

The television presenter and campaigner posted a picture to Instagram showing her wearing a pair of black bikini bottoms and a white T-shirt tied above the stomach.

She’s holding her baby daughter Penelope, eight months.

Mum of two Katie, 34, wrote as the caption: “Whether you identify as skinny, fat, strong, healthy, thick, thin, curvy, petite for many HAPPINESS is the ultimate goal and that comes in many different shapes and sizes.

“Health is a privilege and not an option for many, my journey has made me value and respect my health like never before, my younger self would laugh at me now but I’m at my best when I feel strong and healthy.”

She recently detailed her health and happiness routine in the book, The Healthy, Happy Mum Plan.

Katie’s fans were quick to compliment her post with one telling her: “Looking amazing. Happiness looks great on you.”

Another said, “You are a true inspiration lady”, while a third wrote: “Huge respect for you. You’re a wonderful role model to us all.”

Many others asked Katie if she’s begun her Strictly Come Dancing training yet given how toned she looks.

The inspirational star, who survived a vile acid attack in 2008, was the first celebrity contestant announced for this year’s Strictly.

She’s admitted having “no rhythm” and said Strictly was out of her comfort zone but she can’t wait to get stuck in.

“I like having fun and music and parties but dance-wise…” she said on BBC Breakfast.

“I mean I went to a musical on Thursday and my friend noted I wasn’t even clapping in time, so in terms of rhythm, I don’t know how well that will go!”

Katie added: “I think any fear or reservation I have is the fact I don’t have natural rhythm but I like the side of it being a challenge because I’m quite a competitive person so if I do have something in my life I can’t do, it sort of inspires me to want to learn it.”

Blue singer and EastEnders actor Lee Ryan, YouTuber Joe Suggs, Steps’ Faye Tozer, Red Dwarf actor Danny John-Jules, Capital FM DJ Vick Hope, cricketer Graeme Swann and documentary presenter Stacey Dooley will also take part.

Rounding out the line-up announced so far are BBC newsreader Kate Silverton, comedian Seann Walsh, This Morning’s Dr Ranj Singh and Pussycat Dolls’ Ashley Roberts.

Strictly begins this autumn on BBC One.
