John Barrowman has shocked fans with his unconventional choice of Saturday afternoon snack.
The I’m A Celebrity star, 51, left a many of his 1.3 million Instagram followers repulsed with a photo of English muffins slathered with peanut butter and Marmite.
He admitted the plate was “a mess” but appeared to insist the bizarre spread mix was a winning combo.

Sharing the snap from his Los Angeles home, the actor and presenter wrote: “It looks a mess but it’s an afternoon snack for a rainy day.”
Some fans were baffled at the mix of flavours but others were outright repulsed.
One replied, “My worst nightmare” and another commented, “Ohhh, John, I like marmite but with peanut butter????”.
A third chimed in, “Marmite yes..peanut butter NO” and someone else said, “Ohhh, John, I like marmite but with peanut butter????”
“Looked in the cupboard for breakfast and almost tried that this morning,” said one follower, adding, “But my stomach stopped me.”
But others knew exactly where John was coming from.
A supportive fan replied, “Finally someone who understands one of the finest things in this world”, while another wrote, “Peanut butter and marmite is the BEST combo!”
Fans might gag at the idea of biting into a muffin loaded with peanut butter and Marmite, but they were subjected to much worse when John took part in last year’s I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here.
The TV star found himself having to chow down on five gruesome dishes during a particularly horrible Bushtucker Bonanza, with fare including a big crunchy spider and, perhaps worse of all, a bull’s penis.
John was a firm favourite with audiences in the end, coming in third place behind runner up Emily Atack and 2018 King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp.
John and Emily grew close as campmates, but it recently emerged that they have something else in common besides their friendship – they both fancy Harry Redknapp’s retired footballer son, Jamie.

Emily made no secret about fancying Jamie in the jungle, but in a recent interview with The Sun, John revealed that he too has a soft spot for the Sky Sports pundit.
Confirming his crush to the paper, John said: “He’s hot. He’s totally hot. When people say ‘who’s your celeb crush?’, I’d say ‘Jamie Redknapp’.”
