Duchess of Cambridge wows in white as she arrives at Wimbledon

She swapped the Royal Box for Court 14

The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in white as she arrived at Wimbledon today.

Kate wore a white midi dress by Suzannah which had black detail at the buttons and a black Alexander McQueen belt across her waist paired with black pumps and a pair of sunglasses.

She also added a mini raffia bag to her look.

The royal was all smiles as she sat next to retired pro tennis player Katie Boulter and Anne Keothavong in Court 14 – a small, outside court with only a couple of hundred seats – rather than the Royal Box.

The Duchess is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and has attended Wimbledon on several occasions over the years.

Kate is said to be watching Harriet Dart, 22, as she plays American Christina McHale.

She’s due to watch British number one Johanna Konta play Romania’s Ana Bogdan on Court 1.

Kate, 37, is also said to be watching Serena Williams – who is good friends with Kate’s sister-in-law Meghan Markle – on Centre Court later today as the American player tries to win her 24th Grand Slam title.

The Duchess is expected to take her seat in the royal box later on Tuesday, and will also tour the grounds and visit a number of courts throughout the day.

Last year, Kate attended the Ladies’ Final with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, as they watched Serena’s match with German player Angelique Kerber.

The pair were spotted laughing and cheering from the sidelines.

However, it seems Meghan won’t be attending the event this year as she’s on maternity leave following the birth of her son Archie just eight weeks ago.

But with Serena playing, it’s still a possibility that Meghan could attend to cheer her on at some point over the next fortnight.

Meanwhile last year, Kate spoke about her love for the sport as she joined a tennis training session at a primary school in Mitcham, south London.

The Duchess told the children: “I love tennis, I think it’s a great sport. I was really sporty when I was little, less so now that I’ve got lots of babies.”

Kate has been a regular guest at Wimbledon since making her first visit as a member of the royal family in 2011.
