Denise Welch thrills fans as she reunites with former Corrie co-stars

She was on the soap for three years

Denise Welch has reunited with her former Coronation Street co-stars Sally Dynevor and Jane Danson.

The actress played Natalie Barnes alongside both Sally, who plays Sally Metcalfe, and Jane, who plays Leanne Battersby, on the ITV soap from 1997 to 2000.

Denise took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video of herself, Sally, Jane and Angela Lonsdale – who portrayed Emma Watts (also Taylor) from 2000 to 2003 – on a “girls trip”.

In the video, Denise says: “Here’s the girls… girls trip!” as they all cheered.

Jane adds: “Secret girls trip,” to which Denise confirms: “Yes, secret girls trip. Shh…”

The star captioned the post: “Girls day out!! @sallydynevor @realjanedanson @angelalonsdale.”

Fans were thrilled to see the soap stars altogether.

One person commented: “Absolutely fabulous!” while another wrote: “Would love to see you back on Corrie.”

A third added: “What a legend, we need you back on our TVs ASAP.”

Denise recently discussed whether she would ever return to Corrie.

Her character Natalie was involved in some big scandals on the cobbles, including an affair with Kevin Webster.

Denise left the street in 2000 soon after Natalie discovered she was pregnant with Vinny Sorrell’s baby.

Speaking on Loose Women last month, Denise recalled a small detail that could lead to Natalie’s return – she believes Kevin’s car garage is still partially owned by Natalie.

Denise said: “I still think Natalie owns half that garage, just saying…”

Natalie’s son Tony sold his half of the garage to her before he left in 1998, however it hasn’t been revealed what Natalie did with the business after she left, or if she still has shares in it.
