Christine Lampard forced to apologise after guest swears live on Lorraine

It was down to comedian Jack Whitehall's swearing!

Christine Lampard has been filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her morning talk show this week.

But on Tuesday’s show, the presenter had to apologise to viewers at home after comedian Jack Whitehall swore during his interview with her.

Jack was on the show to talk about hosting the BRIT Awards tomorrow (20 February), but he ended up dropping a naughty word as he spoke about what he was expecting to happen at the “raucous” event.

The 30-year-old began by saying: “Everyone’s there to have a good time it’s a kind of raucous event.”

But he then added: “The best thing about last year was that everyone was absolutely [expletive] and the people you expect to be really rowdy, but it was [Phillip] Schofield and [Holly] Willoughby who were the most drunk, they put them all to shame.”

If you didn’t get it, the naughty word starts with the letter ‘p’ and rhymes with “hissed”.

A rather embarrassed-looking Christine then jumped in and pointed out that children could be watching the show.

The 40-year-old sarcastically said: “I’m glad you said drunk and not that other word, so I just have to apologise for that, just because it’s half term.”

A sheepish Jack then had to continue with the chat after the big blunder.

We bet This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield weren’t too impressed with Jack’s comments either!

Later, the comedian took to Twitter to own up to his mistake, as he wrote: “Ok [bleep] is not a word you’re allowed to say on breakfast television. Who knew?”

But it might not just be Christine, Holly and Phil, that Jack jokingly humiliates.

He also said on the breakfast show that he has threatened to make a joke about his pal One Direction pal Niall Horan on the night.

Jack continued: “I saw him while I was in America and he said are you going to make a joke about me this year, and I said careful what you wish for!”
