Britain could be hit by a devastating Siberian snowbomb this winter, experts have warned.
The ‘snowbomb’ is reportedly threatening to blanket the UK, with temperatures set to drop dramatically as early as next week.
According to The Mirror, it could echo the big freeze of 2006, which saw temperatures plummet well below zero across the country.

Exacta Weather forecaster James Madden spoke to the Daily Express saying: “January still looks like delivering some significant bouts of cold weather with widespread snowfall possible before the end of the month.
“Currently there are signs of a significant snow event just after the middle of January with another possible towards the end of the month.”
“There are likely to be further lengthy, cold and wintry spells early in the year with temperatures for the month as a whole expected to come in below average.”
We could be in the grip of an Arctic blast next week, with unusually low temperatures dragging through February and even the beginning of spring.

There are fears of heavy disruption to travel and public transport for weeks on end.
