Walkers launches Marvellous Mince Pie crisps

A must for all the mince pie fans, Walkers has launched the new Marvellous Mince Pie crisps.

The crisps contain distinctive notes of sweet cinnamon spice and, apparently, a heavenly mincemeat flavour.

The festive flavour is only available in multipacks of five and you’ll only get them in Tesco, where they cost just £1.

While you’re there, you can also pick up the other two flavours that make up the trio of new festive flavours.

Walkers has also launched Sensational Smoked Pigs in Blankets and Ultimate Roast Potato flavours, although we’re unsure how the latter will taste different to a ready salted crisp…

What do crisps fans think of the new launch?

Food reviewer @Kevssnackreviews was eager to give the new flavour a try and posted his review on Instagram.

He said: “When first taking a bite there’s an interesting sweet cinnamon spice kind of vibe and as you eat the crisps it really grows on you and becomes moreish!

“It’s subtle enough to taste, but not overpowering and is quite unique for a crisp flavour.

“I really enjoyed these and happily munched through a multipack. I’d recommend grabbing some to hand around over the Christmas season, if only for fun!”

Others audited they were actually surprised at how well the mince pie crisps tasted.

They rushed to the comments section of the post to share their thoughts.

One person commented: “Weirdly so good! I had another packet today!”

Someone else wrote: “Finally tried these today! They’re good right? I was pleasantly surprised.”

Another fan said: “I literally put some of these on the shelves at work. Mildly curious to try, I must admit!”

Are they worth a try?

Even though Walkers crisps are banging and mince pies are a Christmas favourite, is a combination of the two really necessary?

Some have claimed they’re a bit anxious to give this uncommon flavour a try.

Someone wrote: “I think these would be awful.”

Another person said: “Don’t think I could think of anything worse.”
