Holly Willoughby has paid tribute to her beloved mum Lynn as she celebrated her 40th birthday today (February 10).
Due to lockdown, Holly won’t see her parents in person today.
However, she has found a way to be close to her mum.
Hosting today’s This Morning, Holly has revealed she is wearing the very same dress that her mum wore to her 40th birthday party.

What did Holly Willoughby wear on her birthday?
Holly’s daily #HWstyle shot had a bit of a tweak today.
Instead of wearing a designer outfit to host the show on her birthday, she donned quite the throwback.

Holly wore a dress that her mum Lynn had worn to celebrate her 40th birthday.
I asked her if she’d kept the dress and of course she had… Strange moment zipping it up this morning, wondering how she felt on her big day.
The black floral dress featured cap sleeves and a saucy cut-out back and came just above Holly’s knees.
Holly’s mum is 72 years old – so the dress is more than three decades old.
What did Holly say about the dress?
She shared: “This photo of my mum was taken on her 40th birthday at the party she had in the garden.
“I remember this day so clearly. It’s a strange thing to reach the age you remember your mum being!”

Holly added: “I asked her if she’d kept the dress and of course she had… Strange moment zipping it up this morning, wondering how she felt on her big day…”
Then came the moment that had many of her followers in tears.
“I can’t be with my mum or dad today, but wearing this in her honour makes me feel closer to them…
“Love you Mumma!” Holly concluded.
What did Holly’s friends say about the dress?
Emma Bunton was among the first to comment.
She said: “Wow, this is so amazing.”
This Morning’s Rochelle Humes added: “This is incredible.”
