Simon Cowell has announced the start date for new show The X Factor: The Band.
"No one has a track record of putting together globally-successful bands like The X Factor," said host Dermot O'Leary.
"And we're about to do it again," he added.
"The search is on for the next pop supergroup. Five people's lives are about to change forever."
Starting at 8.30pm on ITV on Monday December 9, the new spin-off will see acts audition to form a girl band and a boy band, who'll then participate in a battle of the bands.
Cancel all your Christmas party plans as the show will be on a few times during its launch week, with 90-minute shows on the Wednesday and Friday night.
We are going to try to find either the biggest boy group in the world, or the biggest girl group in the world.
The trailer sees the likes of Little Mix and One Direction during their time on The X Factor – the show that made them global sensations.
Announcing the series earlier this year, Simon revealed: "Very simply, we are going to try to find either the biggest boy group in the world, or the biggest girl group in the world."
Auditions have closed, but none of the show's hopefuls have yet been revealed.
Simon is also yet to reveal his judging panel, but X Factor favourite Dermot is back to host the show.
The show is set to be a rival for Little Mix's BBC show The Search.
Meanwhile, Simon's X Factor: Celebrity show comes to an end this weekend.
Catch the final on ITV on Saturday November 30 at 7.10pm.
