Kelvin Fletcher shocks fans with painful bruises from Strictly rehearsals

He made it through this weekend

Kelvin Fletcher has showed off his painful-looking bruises from his Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals.

The former Emmerdale actor, 35, shared a photo to Instagram at the weekend showing the bruises on his thighs.

Standing in the mirror, Kelvin sported a pair of stripey pants as his muscly thighs were covered in huge red marks.

Kelvin captioned the post: "Rugby? No. Paintball? No. Dancing? Yes."

His professional partner Oti Mabuse commented: "Don’t be a queen about it... get dressed and let’s go dance."

Former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas wrote: "How's that happened?" followed by a laughing face emoji.

Fans were also baffled over what had happened, with many squirming over the injuries.

One person said: "Holy crap! You're really suffering. Total respect."

A third added: "They look bad! How on earth has that happened?!"

Kelvin made it through to the quarter finals next weekend after he and Oti bagged 38 points out of 40 for their Street/Commercial performance.

After making it through, Oti shared a photo of herself and Kelvin to Instagram and said she's "so proud and excited to start working on next week's musical".

She wrote: "Teamfloti!!!!! Wow thank you sooooooooooooooo much for EVERYTHING!

"We are through to musicals week the quarter final and we couldn’t have done it without you... so proud and excited to start working on next weeks musical. I’m still screaming THANK YOU!!!!! (sic)"

Saffron Barker and AJ Pritchard were sent home this weekend after finding themselves in the bottom two alongside Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden.

A teary Saffron said during last night's results show: "I've had the time of my life and it's all down to AJ."
