This Morning fans express concern for Holly Willoughby after noticing “painful” condition

Viewers urged her to visit a doctor

Concerned Holly Willoughby fans have urged the This Morning host to visit her GP, after becoming worried for her health.

This week, an increasing number of viewers have noticed a distinct change in Holly – and believe it could be a sign something is wrong.

And it’s Holly’s voice that seems to be the cause of the concern.

While watching the show this week, one fan tweeted: “I genuinely think Holly should see someone in a ear / nose and throat department regarding her throat.

“It’s definitely changed in tone. Not only is it irritating in its pitch (very Dermot O’Leary ), it sounds dry and painful. These things shouldn’t be ignored. By the way, I’m not a fan #ThisMorning.”

Another noticed, too, tweeting: “#ThisMorning Why does Holly’s voice often go a few pitches away from a whistle?”

A third typed: “I swear Holly’s voice is getting squeakier #ThisMorning.”

Yet one more accused Holly of having a “screechy” and “whining” voice.

Another questioned whether Holly had laryngitis.

In fact, Holly did have surgery on her vocal chords in 2013.

Holly had been struggling with painful nodules growing inside her voice box, which can be a result of excessive singing, talking or other types of vocal exercise.

In September 2013, she tweeted her relief that the procedure went well and said she was looking forward to the future.

At the time, she said: “Phew! Nodules gone, operation a success. After Adele had hers done, she won a Grammy… Fingers crossed! Xxx.”

Her op was a laser treatment called Green Light KTP, which was only previously available in the US but has become common in Britain.

Holly had the operation around her work duties and only took two days off from This Morning.
