Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby embarrassed as guest points out blunder on This Morning

There was a rather big mistake made

This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left in an awkward position on the show today after special guest Suzi Quatro pointed out a huge blunder.

Singer Suzi appeared on This Morning with David Essex when she spotted that her name was spelt incorrectly and she tried to correct it live on air.

Phil and Holly looked rather awkward as they then tried to swiftly rectify the situation.

As Holly, 38, and Phil, 56, began introducing the show’s upcoming segment with the musicians, they became aware that Suzi was trying to tell them something in the background.

As the camera then panned to Suzi, 68, and David, 71, on the sofa, Suzi was heard saying: “It’s wrong.”

She then called out: “My name is spelt wrong!”

Phil then turned to see what the commotion was about and said: “Her name is spelt wrong, we saw that then, how cross you were.”

With the cameras still rolling, Suzi added: “That better not go out on the screen like that…”

But Phil then awkwardly had to explain to her that it was too late as they were live on air!

He added: “It’s live Suzi, it’s already gone out, but we’ll correct it in a moment don’t worry.”

However, Suzi seemed far from impressed about the mistake, while David was captured getting off the sofa as they went to an ad break.

Desperate to smooth things over after the break, Phil then had to relay that the typo was only on their autocue and hadn’t appeared on screen.

Suzi and David were on the ITV show to talk about their upcoming tour.
