Sobbing Alison Hammond locks herself in dressing room after she’s ‘cheated on’

This Morning colleagues did a poor job of consoling her!

Alison Hammond was ‘utterly inconsolable’ after she found out The Rock had unceremoniously dumped her and got married to someone else.

After enjoying lots of flirty banter during their interviews, the This Morning star and Dwayne Johnson eventually got ‘married’ on the ITV daytime show in a ceremony conducted by none other than Kevin Hart.

But on Monday’s episode she found out she’d been ‘cheated on’ by the Hollywood star after he married his long-term girlfriend Lauren Hashian.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield somehow managed to keep straight faces as they told viewers what had transpired over the weekend.

“Obviously since hearing the news Alison has been utterly inconsolable. She’s barricaded herself in her dressing room,” Phil told people at home.

The camera then flashed to poor Alison hiding in her dressing room surrounded by tissues and posters of the Fast & Furious actor.

“I just don’t understand why he would have done this to me, that’s all. I feel so let down,” a tearful Alison said.

The This Morning team even managed to corner him on the red carpet out in Los Angeles where he confirmed the sad news.

“Sorry Alison – I got married. I’m serving you the papers now. I’ll call you later,” he said.

The hosts then asked if Alison had any idea there was another woman in the picture, to which she replied: “I did kind of know. We were married. I had the ring and everything. I know I don’t see him very often but we love each other.”

Things got even worse when Phil said he had tried to match make with a Rock lookalike, but discovered he was married.

“Can I say please don’t trivialise something like this,” Alison replied. “He meant so much to me.”

Sympathetic This Morning viewers took to Twitter to tell the presenter she should move on, with one writing: “He isn’t worth your time @AlisonHammond.”
