Piers Morgan appears to take swipe at Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden ‘feud’

Well, of course he does!

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan is well-known for taking a swipe at people.

And he’s been at it again, having his say on the reported feud between This Morning host Phillip Schofield and Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden.

Motormouth Piers, 54, made his comments on today’s installment of the ITV breakfast show, joking that This Morning should be renamed ‘The Repair Shop’.

Holden, 48, is reported to have complained to ITV bosses after she was overlooked for the role of stand-in This Morning presenter while Holly Willoughby was away filming I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.

Rochelle Humes was eventually given the job alongside Phillip Schofield, 57.

And Britain’s Got Talent star Holden has since made comments about Schofield on the Heart FM breakfast show, which she co-presents with Jamie Theakston.

When asked what three things she wouldn’t want to find in her house, she replied: “Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield.”

She also claimed that Schofield hadn’t replied to a text message she sent him.

Perfect fodder, then, for Piers to have a dig – and he did just that on today’s GMB.

Showbiz reporter Richard Arnold announced that Good Morning Britain had been nominated for a TV Choice Award alongside This Morning, The Chase and antique-restoration programme The Repair Shop.

Piers retorted: “What the hell is The Repair Shop? Isn’t that This Morning at the moment, from what I’m reading?”

As his co-host Susanna Reid squirmed next to him, he quickly went back on his jibe, insisting: “I’m joking… only joking!”

Mind you, Holden hasn’t always been kind to Piers either.

Earlier this month, Heart FM ran a competition to win some money, and one caller suggested that he might spend the winnings on a dream trip to Antigua.

Holden jokingly replied: “Piers Morgan goes to Antigua – you don’t want to go there!”
