Viewers want Gok Wan’s chef brother to get regular cookery spot on This Morning

Talent runs in the family!

Gok Wan could have a rival for TV presenting roles in the future after his older brother impressed viewers following an appearance on today’s This Morning.

Chef Kwoklyn, 44, joined his younger brother on the show to celebrate Chinese New Year by cooking Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield some of their favourite family recipes.

While Gok, 43, whipped up some egg-fried rice, Kwoklyn taught the presenters how to make wanton soup.

As they cooked, the brothers revealed how food was an important part of their upbringing as they worked in their father’s restaurant.

“It was slave labour from the age of three by my dad!” Gok joked.

He went on to explain how Kwoklyn took over the family business in Leicester while he pursued his career as a fashion consultant, which led to him becoming a TV star after he fronted How To Look Good Naked.

Kwoklyn said: “One of us had to do it so it was me. He got the TV career and I got the restaurant.”

Or, “I chose the shoes, he chose the rice,” as Gok put it.

But now it seems it’s time for Kwoklyn to have his turn in the spotlight after many viewers praised his appearance on the ITV show today and asked to see more of him.

“#thismorning thought Gok’s brother was brilliant, a natural presenter. More please!” one fan wrote on Twitter.

Another gushed: “I’m in love with Gok’s brother omg #thismorning.”

Another said: “Lovely to see your brother.”

Others said they wanted to see more of the siblings cooking together, with one writing: “Aw, you guys are awesome,” and another saying: “Loved seeing you both on the show today, great to see a regular spot.”

Someone else said Gok and his brother “should do a series”.

It seems they won’t be disappointed as Kwoklyn hinted he would be back on our screens soon as he took to Twitter to say how much he’d enjoyed his This Morning debut.
