This Morning viewers in hysterics as Halloween segment descends into chaos

The very definition of car crash TV!

They say anything can happen when you’re on live TV or working with children… so naturally when This Morning combined the two on Thursday, it led to a pure gold television segment!

Viewers were in peals of laughter as a segment about kids’ Halloween costumes went totally off the rails for multiple reasons.

From Kim Woodburn getting confused about the costume details, to children reluctant to talk, a toddler running away, and a baby crying persistently, it was the very definition of car crash TV!

And that’s not even mentioning the poor dog whose shark costume covered his eyes so much he couldn’t see!

The segment started okay with Celebrity Big Brother star Kim, dressed as Cruella de Vil, explaining viewers were going to see a fashion show of kids’ Halloween costumes.

First out was a young girl who played her role perfectly… but it was down hill from there.

Kim introduced the girl as a boy named Cuba, prompting Phillip Schofield to jump in and point out Cuba was very much a female. Oops.

Then we had a little boy dressed as a skeleton who seemed a bit overwhelmed and couldn’t answer Kim’s questions.

The poor youngster appeared so nervous Phil had to leave the sofa, take him by the hand and escort him off-camera, presumably back to his parents.

Next out was a wonderfully cheery baby dressed as an adorable pumpkin, who decided to wander off down the runway in a bid to reach a black cat toy.

It prompted Phil to leap up yet again to ensure the baby didn’t fall!

Throughout all of this, another baby’s cries could be heard in the background of the whole segment.

And that poor little one was the final child on the runway.

Kim got confused about the baby’s costume, saying it was a jester when it was actually a spider. She also had to be corrected by Phil when she got the manufacturer wrong.

Turning to the child’s mum’s costume, Kim then said: “I don’t know what you’re in, actually. What are you in?”

And as if that wasn’t enough, one of the dog’s brought out to demonstrate animal costumes couldn’t actually see!

A concerned Holly and Phil had to ask if the dog was okay, as his hammerhead shark costume completely covered the poor pup’s head.

It turned out the costume had fallen over his eyes and the fluff ball had been wandering around unable to see.

As the baby continued to cry, Phil ended the segment by assuring viewers: “We will put all of these costumes online as I’m sure you didn’t hear any of that!”

Naturally, viewers were quick to brand the whole segment “chaos” – oops!

Others branded the segment a “mess” and a “car crash” – pointing out everything that could go wrong did go wrong!

Many more just sat back and laughed, saying it was classic TV and just what they needed on a dreary day!

Absolutely classic TV!
