Katie Price hit with backlash following Chris Hughes revelation

Not everyone is impressed by Katie's big reveal

Katie Price may be feeling jubilant after she FINALLY revealed ‘proof’ that Chris Hughes replied to her flirtatious Snapchat messages.

But fans aren’t as impressed, with many slamming the mum-of-five for her ongoing war with Love Island’s Chris and determination to bring him down.

According to The Sun, Katie, 39, showed one of the paper’s reporters screengrabs of conversations she’s had with Chris, 24.

If they are true, it proves he did reply to her texts despite vowing he didn’t.

However, plenty of fans remain sceptical and have lashed out at Katie for crowing about a victory over Chris despite not actually revealing the messages publicly.

Other fans criticised Katie for not letting her feud with Chris die down, suggesting she focus on her own marriage and kids.

There were similar criticisms posted on Katie’s Instagram comments, with one fan saying: “Used to love Katie Price… she will do anything to stay in the papers now even if it’s trying to ruin a young couple’s relationship. Embarrassing really.”

Another said: “Full of hot air, why don’t you grow up and focus on your 5 children. You are bitter you were rejected by someone 1/2 your age. Have some self respect.”

A third added: “Used to have respect for her ( well a bit) not any more!! She needs to focus on her & her kids not trying to stay in the spot light. She’s past it now & will do anything for a headline. She’s got money she’s got family do the right thing.”

And a fourth said: “Why are you revealing silly texts from a young boy, to spoil his relationship, he may have txt you back but that’s because you’re a known celebrity, you cannot seriously think he likes you more than Olivia. You can be his Mother.”

Other fans, though, were on Katie’s side and applauded her for standing up for herself.

The saga of Katie versus Chris has been rumbling on for ages now thanks to a he-said-she-said war of words over what really happened.

To quickly recap: Chris accused Katie of sending him flirtatious messages. She denied that. He posted said messages on Twitter and accused Katie of threatening his girlfriend Olivia Attwood.

Katie denied that and accused Chris of replying to her texts. He denied that. You sense a theme here? Throw in a few personal insults and you get the picture…. MESSY!

Well, ever since Katie insisted Chris had been replying to her text messages, we’ve all been waiting with baited breath as to whether she would publish them.

After all, she was left red-faced when Chris published her messages on social media.

And now, FINALLY, the mum-of-five has decided to give us some insight into just what Chris was allegedly texting her during their exchange.

The Sun claims that Katie, 39, showed them some of the screengrabs of their text message conversations over Snapchat during a recent interview.

The newspaper says the screengrabs prove that Chris did respond to Katie’s messages, despite him vehemently denying any contact.

Crafty Katie apparently took the screengrabs using another camera pointed at her smartphone, so Chris wouldn’t get an alert that she was recording their chats.

The Sun claims to have seen the screengrabs and alleges Chris called girlfriend Olivia “fame hungry” in one, before describing Katie as a “lovely person” and saying sorry for all the drama.

He also allegedly apologised for posting Katie’s messages to social media.

Clearly happy with her day’s work, a jubilant Katie then tweeted: “Ladies and Gentlemen, what we have learnt today is NEVER underestimate the Pricey.”

However, naturally, Chris was FAR from happy and went on a Twitter rant after finding out what had happened.

In a now-deleted message, Chris raged: “I couldn’t give a [bleep] who I offend anymore. I stand on my own and always will, I don’t need people to get me.

“Katie Price, you’re a piece of rotten [bleep]. I couldn’t give a [bleep] about you. Be a mother, be something respectful, for everyone’s sake.

“I showed your true colours, you couldn’t live with it. You have 52 screenshots on Snapchat since I humiliated you? Comical. I’ve got my whole account history from Snapchat and a media lawyer will [bleep] you up.

“No one deserves your [bleep] and I ain’t one to take it. You [bleep] lives. You have MY number, you can see I haven’t ever sent you [bleep]. You’re washed up and you stink.”

Ouch.

However, Chris then had a change of heart and deleted the rant.

He explained: “I deleted that tweet cus it was disrespectful to younger fans with the language, but meant everything I said. Always back yourself (sic).”

Over to you, Katie….

We imagine this feud is FAR from over.
