I’m A Celebrity fans leap to Stanley’s defence after Iain argument

The pair clashed over counting

A counting challenge saw Iain Lee and Stanley Johnson butt heads in tonight’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of here! and fans weren’t happy.

They immediately took to Twitter to tell Iain to leave their Stanley alone.

During the Battle of the Sexes challenge, the pair completely disagreed over the best method of counting their piles, with Iain favouring a method of counting in twos and Stanley wanting to make piles of 10.

With the girls beating them in this part of the challenge to the chest, Iain wasn’t happy and felt Stanley was to blame for their loss.

In the Bush Telegraph, Iain, Stanley and Amir were talking about the chest challenge: “You should have let me and Amir count,” said Iain.

“I still think you hadn’t adopted a system…” Stanley began.

“I had a system,” Iain hit back. “I had 176 both times, my system worked.”

“You are an obstinate man Iain,” Stanley said, which wound Iain up even more.

“And you’re not? Stanley you are the most obstinate man I’ve ever met, if anyone dares raise a criticism or disagree with you then they’re obstinate.”

He later came out of the Telegraph and commented under his breath: “I’m not quite buying into the cult of Stanley.”

But Toff overheard him and replied: “It’s not a cult.”

Fans were quick to defend Stanley on Twitter and tell Iain to leave him alone.

But there were some on Iain’s side who said Stanley was to blame.

Iain later decided to apologise to Stanley: “I lost my temper earlier and I apologise I shouldn’t have done.”

But ever the gentleman, Stanley assured him they were “totally cool.”

It wasn’t the first time Iain annoyed viewers during the show as his comments about wanting to “smash the women” in the task sparked fury too.

And some fans were unhappy that Stanley was ruled out of the next trial once again on “medical grounds.”
