Coronation Street newbie Louis Emerick has shared a sneaky behind-the-scenes snap of him on set with his on-screen love interest, Beverley Callard.
The ex Brookside star has joined the ITV soap as Mike Thornberry, who is set to sweep Bev’s character, Liz McDonald off her feet when he arrives on the cobbles next month.
The actor might not be able to say a lot about what he is getting up to while filming his secret Corrie scenes – but he is keeping his fans up to date with what is going on at the ITV studios on social media.

He shared the image of the pair outside the Rovers Return pub – giving us our first glimpse of the hot new romance in Weatherfield.
He captioned the image: “#LizandMike outside The Rovers! @Beverleycallard you were fab… as always xx”
Fans were thrilled that Liz is about to get a new man in her life – and commented on what a perfect couple they make…
Louis also confirmed that he will first appear on screen on Monday March 26th – so only five weeks to wait and see Liz come face-to-face with the new man in her life.

Louis’s character, Mike, comes into Corrie as one of Steve McDonald’s old school teachers – and let’s just say he is less than impressed when he sees him flirting with his mum.

But it looks like Steve might be seeing a lot more of Mike than he would like when Liz asks him to give his old teacher a job at Streetcars.
So Mike is clearly here for a while… but will Steve be the one to give the newcomer a job?
