Debbie Dingle grows suspicious of Tom Waterhouse’s motives in tonight’s Emmerdale episode

Is she in danger?

Debbie Dingle could be set to discover boyfriend Tom Waterhouse’s true colours tonight when she starts to grow suspicious of his behaviour.

Determined to pin him down and have ‘the chat’ about where their relationship is heading, Debbie pays Tom a visit. But is she putting herself in danger?

After blurting out the L word and not hearing anything back, Debbie’s keen to know where she stands.

Viewers all know Tom is plotting something and Debbie is at the centre of it – and even after Deb’s daughter, Sarah, was injured in a quad bike accident, Tom assured his right-hand man, Graham, that the plan would go ahead anyway.

On the surface, Tom seems like the perfect fella – if a little bit intense.

He’s bought Debbie a house, furnished it for her and paid for expensive medical insurance for Sarah.

But having heard very little from him since she told him she loves him, Debbie is pushed by a sceptical Charity to pay Tom a visit and get to the bottom of his behaviour in tonight’s episode.

She arrives to see him and tries to play it cool, while also demanding to know where she stands and just where their romance is going.

Distracting her, he pulls her in for a kiss and tells her he is committed to their relationship, before planning out a lazy day together for them.

Is this enough to convince Debbie’s he’s genuine? Or is she savvy enough to work out he’s up to something?

It’s all a little bit too lovely at the moment, surely Deb’s been burned enough before to be on her guard this time? Is she set to expose him sooner rather than later?

Fans have spent the last few weeks trying to work out exactly what Tom’s game is. Some think he’s Carl King’s son, Tom, and others believe he’s Joseph Tate, son of Chris Tate and Rachel Hughes, who hasn’t been seen or spoken of for years.

But what would either of these guys want with Debbie? Are they using Deb to get to someone else? Is Debbie in real danger?

Joseph would be Debbie’s half-brother, Noah’s half-brother (these Dingle family trees are very complicated, aren’t they?!) so there’s a connection there.

And of course, Debbie went out with Cameron Murray, who murdered Carl King, so if Tom Waterhouse is really Tom King is he out for revenge on the woman who dated the man who killed his father? That could get really complicated!

We’re not sure what to think right now, it’s definitely going to be explosive, and we really hope Emmerdale don’t keep us in suspense much longer.
