Emmerdale SPOILER: Killer Emma finally exits the Dales in explosive scenes

Emmerdale has got some huge scenes lined up for October, including the climax of one of it’s longest running storylines. So is killer Emma Barton about to get her just desserts?

Ems’ been frantically hiding the secret that she killed her husband, James, by shoving him off a bridge – using manipulation and blackmail to keep the truth hidden.

But it’s about to come exploding out next week, when she finally confesses to her arch nemesis, Moira, that she killed James.

Emma’s confession leads to a huge fight between the women, in on of Moira’s hay barns. There’s pitchforks involved and, in the scuffle, a lamp ends up getting knocked over, causing a huge fire.

The week doesn’t get off to a great start for Emma. The memory card with the footage of her trying to manipulate the now departed Ashley Thomas has resurfaced and, after her confession to Gabby Thomas, Bernice and Diane want some answers from her.

Emma becomes more and more anxious and eventually heads over to Moira’s to have it out with her about her feelings for James.

Speaking to TVTimes.com, Gillian Kearney who plays the killer, said: “Emma’s not intending to hurt Moira. She’s going there to say, ‘I killed my husband, and it’s all your fault, not mine’.

“She has accepted that it’s game over, and wants to make Moira understand that if she’d left James alone, then he’d still be alive. and she and the boys wouldn’t have this terrible darkness in their lives.”

But as words get thrown around and the situation soon becomes very heated (geddit?) Emma’s left with a dilemma. Will she leave Moira to die in the fire, or will she get an attack of conscience and rescue her?

Emmerdale has already confirmed a character will be killed off during next week’s life-changing episodes so could it be Moira. Or Emma herself?

There’s some gun drama too when a vengeful Adam gives chase after seeing her emerge from the flaming barn, her hands covered in blood.

Adam is armed with a gun and is furious with Emma, chasing her into the woods, but the tables turn and she gets hold of the gun herself.

She then fires a shot out into the woods – but who does she hit? Is it Adam, Victoria, some other innocent, or could she even turn the gun on herself?
