Emmerdale fans are seriously concerned for Belle Dingle after boyfriend Lachlan White’s latest plan.
During Wednesday night’s episode (23 May), the deranged youth had ITV viewers shouting at their TV’s when he suggested that he and Belle start a family…
Funnily enough, those watching at home don’t think Lachlan – fresh from murdering poor Gerry in cold blood – will make a good baby daddy.
Last week, Belle believed she was pregnant with Lachlan’s baby. And, once the pair let the news sink in, decided to keep the baby.

However, it was a false alarm, with Belle’s anti-psychotic drugs the reason for the false pregnancy test.
But now, after coming to terms with the thought of being parents, it seems the idea has stuck.
Chatting about their phantom baby, Lachlan explained how excited he had been at the prospect of becoming a father.
He said: “I don’t want to pressure you but you’ve got to admit it would be so, so good.
“I mean, a proper family, to go with the new family business – a little kid with your brain and your looks.”

He went on to say: “And yeah maybe Rebecca does have a point and we are young but that just means we have loads of energy. And you have to admit you seemed pretty happy before you found out.”
An unsure Belle told Lachlan she needed to think about it, but later told him: “I think you’re right, I think we should have a baby.”
Viewers were horrified at the prospect of Lachlan becoming a father, and begged Belle on Twitter not to consider it.

One fan pondered: “Maybe Lachlan knows what he did will come out eventually and Belle could hate him. Maybe in Lachlan’s mind he thinks if he and Belle have a baby together he will always be in Belle’s life in some way even if she hates him.”
