Emmerdale fans annoyed over Adam Barton arrest

Have the police got their man?

| Updated:

Adam Barton was arrested for the murder of Emma Barton in tonight’s Emmerdale and fans weren’t happy about it.

The cops have been bumbling around for weeks now, trying to find out who pushed her off the viaduct.

Last week, they arrested Gabby, and now they’ve taken Adam in.

And fans weren’t at all impressed by the latest move.

As Adam was grilled at the station over the cleanliness of his car, the police asked: “You ever give Emma Barton a lift?”

Adam insisted he hadn’t, but the police responded: “I’d like to know why we found traces of her hair and DNA on the passenger seat?”

As the Barton boy continued to deny it, the detective roared: “We’ve got motive, DNA, hair, do I need to go on?

But it was Adam’s lawyer who pointed out the obvious: “Emma Barton’s son works at the garage the car was at.”

Easy enough explanation, isn’t it?

“You can’t prove any of this,” the solicitor added, which fans at home certainly agreed with.

Fortunately, Adam was out on bail a short while later and telling Victoria they needed to cover up more evidence – the confession letter that someone planted in his car.

After Cain buried the tyres, causing all sorts of trouble for Adam, is hiding more evidence really the best next move?
